what is the gentle post?
I didn't choose to slow down. My body chose for me.
At 22, my health collapsed, and it took eight years to find out why.
Somewhere in those years, I found my way back to joy through creating… a little drawing here, a painted flower there.
I learned that slowness wasn't the enemy. It was the answer.
The Gentle Post grew from that lesson.
Each month I sit down with my fountain pen and write you a letter by hand. I write about the season, what's been growing in my sketchbook, and the small, ordinary joys I've noticed along the way.
Then I seal it with wax, tuck in a few handmade treasures, and post it from my little home studio in Camden, NSW, to your letterbox.
It's a small act of slowness in a world that rushes.
For anyone learning, or relearning, that slow is enough.
That small is enough.
That you are enough.

FAQ's
Your envelope posts on or around the 1st of each month. Subscribe by the 20th of the month to receive the upcoming month's envelope (ie, sign up by the 20th of September to receive the October letter).
Yes! If you are located outside of Australia, simply choose the International subscription option.
Within Australia, letter delivery usually takes around 3–7 business days. International delivery can take 2–4 weeks depending on the country. Different times of year and peak postal periods may impact these estimates.
If you believe your letter is missing, please send an email and I will attempt to rectify any issues. It must be noted that once letters are posted, they are given into the control of Australia Post (and international postal carriers) and I will not have access to each individual piece.
I write each month's letter by hand in fountain pen, then reproduce it on parchment paper so every subscriber receives a very authentic looking piece. Each envelope is addressed and wax sealed by hand, and all components are designed, created, assembled and packed by me.
